Create a PDA-version of your site is easier than you think!

Most of the components for creating a PDA-version of the site have 2 problems. First, you can not create a PDA-version on the third level domain (pda.mysite.com). Secondly, the result works crookedly in most cases.

To solve these problems, IDoPDA uses a direct data reading from the database. In other words, IDoPDA processes data base of your site and displays them in a PDA-oriented format in the subdomain 3-level type pda.yoursite.com.

    IDoPDA already can:

    • work with CMS Joomla! 1.5 and WordPress
    • create PDA-version menu from the existing site menu
    • authenticate users via the PDA-version
    • place website logo
    • choose the count of displayed articles on the page
    • create a separate site title for PDA-version
    • reduce and cache thumbnails

A few simple steps to create a PDA-version of your site

    1. Download the script IDoPDA for "Joomla!" Or "Wordpress".
    2. Make a 3rd level subdomain on your site — pda.yoursite.com (or any you will wish).
    3. Unpack the archive with the script in the 3rd level domain root folder.
    4. Go to the subdomain from a desktop or a portable device (when you first start you'll be taken to install page).
    5. Enter the data: the site title, URL of the site, the data for access to the database, the count of articles for the main page.
    6. (Only for "Joomla") Set alowed for browsing content.
    7. Upload logo.

That's all. PDA-version of your site is ready ;-)

What IDoPDA plans to extend in the future
